Webteam meets Drupal

In the early morning of tomorrow (well, today, i.e., Tuesday) I will leave for Barcelona. I will be attending the DrupalCon, the annual conference of Drupal developers.

What do Drupal and ESN have in common? Much more than it appears at first view: Drupal is the award-winning engine behind ESN Satellite, the technology upon which our popular website template is based.

My expectations for the coming conference are two-fold:

  1. Learning. The Webteam's current effort is to simplify installaton and usage of ESN Satellite as much as possible, and in four days of technical discussions we will know about the most recent technologies and solutions. The coming version 2.0 will already benefit from this.
  2. Showing off the ESN projects. The Webteam's proposal was selected for the last session (a very good one, by the way, just before the final keynote speech) and we will be able to present ESN Satellite and ESN Galaxy to a broad audience. Time of good advertising for ESN... With the hope that ESN has some good benefits from it!

So I'm leaving. I'll keep you informed! I will try to blog live from Barcelona, if at all possible, so that we can test ESN Supernova's capabilities! By the way, guess what technology is ESN Supernova based on? Yes, Drupal again!

Unfortunately, the other webteam members, including Antonio De Marco and me, cannot attend this conference (with more than 400 participants!!) . However, I want to wish Andrea good luck with the conference and especially with the presentation on Saturday! Please also vote for the ESN Galaxy presentation at the Drupalcon 2007 website!
