Webteam

The ESN Webteam aims at strenghtening ESN by offering online services to sections and using the latest technologies. This is much more than simply maintaining the esn.org website!

The ESN Webteam created and maintains: ESN Satellite, a free website template for sections; the ESN Galaxy, an interactive map aggregating news from all the ESN Sections; ESN Identity, a LDAP-based system which will permit authentication and live updates on esn.org; ESN Supernova, this site; and much more.

Moreover, the ESN webteam participates in International Web development conferences to present its work and getting inspiration and information for improving future projects. And if you want to join the Webteam, you are welcome to do so!

YOURCE Conference: another lost webteam lost story...

The 2nd YOURCE Conference was held in Copenhagen from 16th to 21st of October 2007. The main aim of the conference was to collect and to share best practices regarding online youth information using web 2.0 tools.

The conference was managed using an "open space" approach where the participants had the possibility to propose and conduct workshops. The ESN webteam presented the ESN Galaxy and ESN Identity to other participants and our approach in supporting geographically distributed networks was highly appreciated by them.
