During three intense days in Braunschweig the German National Platform discussed and decided on many topics. The main points were the changes of our national statutes and the election of a new National Board. Furthermore, we held four successful workshops about section websites, PR and corporate identity, human resources and the ESNtrain. We presented our idea of a national intranet and some more plans to facilitate the communication between the NB and the sections. And for all the Wodka Ahoj lovers out there, we are planning a special ESN edition of your favourite drink!
The statute changes included the creation of a transition period for newly elected National Boards so knowledge transfer is ensured. Furthermore, the position of the PR responsible was created as fifth Board member. The delegation of votes was restricted and in case a Board position cannot be filled, the Board has the power to elect an extraordinary Board member without voting rights for this position.
As written in the statutes during the AGMÂ the new National Board will take over. It will then consist of the following section members:
President: Mathias Kissig (ESN TU Dresden)
Vice-President: Katja Krohn (ESN LEI Greifswald)
Treasurer: Jennifer Menge (ESN Bochum)
National Representative: Christoph Bachmann (ESN Mannheim)
PR respsonsible: Kristin Simon (ESN LEI Greifswald)
Assessor: Anna Klindworth (ESN Bremen)
Extremely motivated, lots of ESN and local Board experience, fully commited - the newly elected National Board has all the potential to outperform its predecessors and to push ESN Germany one step further.
And last but not least: A huge "Thank you!!" goes to ESN Braunschweig for organising the best NP ever!!
