NR of Portugal

Olá!!

I am Cláudio, 22 (almost 23) year-old Informatics Engineering (not the geeky type though, sorry) student from Porto, currently doing Erasmus in Ghent for 2 more months (and damn enjoyin' it!!) and since last AGM, the new NR of Portugal Cool

I've been in ESN since May 2005 and now I can say pretty certainly that I'm addicted on it. I've been president of ESN Porto last year (Set'06 - Set'07), as well as coordinator of the XX Aniv. Erasmus Day in Porto, and since I came to Ghent I've been also involved in the section here. Ah, yeah, I've also been in the last 3 AGM's (Krakow-Prague-Besançon) and part of the OC in the SEP'06. I guess that's a pretty good sum-up of my ESN curriculum
Tongue out

My Action Plan, as NR of Portugal, for the upcoming year is the following:

6 months (until end of September)
•    Improve and create new communication tools for the Portuguese sections: website, mailing list and wikipage [in progress]
•    Collect and update info about ESN Portugal and its sections [partly done]
•    Re-establish contacts with inactive sections and contact with potential new sections [in progress]
•    Organize a National Event [done - National Erasmus Encounter, co-organized by ESN Coimbra and ESN UTAD]
•    Organize a National Platform in May [it was organized, but cancelled unfortunately]
•    Integrate 2 or 3 Working Groups [done. actually I'm in 4
Tongue out]
•    Choose a Buddy @ CNR [done. Jochem, the giant from the Netherlands
Wink]
•    Organize a National Platform in September
•    Start the process of registering ESN Portugal legally, as a youth association in Portugal
•    Collect and establish first contacts with sponsors
•    Establish the ESN Identity in all sections: satellites, ESN Card, corporate identity
•    Organize an international event of ESN
•    Create at least 2 new sections

9 months (until end of December)
•    Be actively involved on ESN International projects: EVS, ESN Radio, PRIME, etc.
•    Create statues of ESN Portugal and have the registration process concluded or advanced
•    Create and elect new positions on the National level: PR, Fundraising, etc.
•    Sign national deals with sponsors, in order to benefit all sections

12 months (until AGM 2009)
•    Organize a National Platform
•    Elect a new National Board and National Representative
•    Organize a new National Platform (before AGM 2009)

So, this is pretty much it for now. I'll try to keep you posted on what's happening on the Portuguese side and on CNR!! Feel free (or even obligated) to leave comments and send feedback to portugal@esn.org
