Here I am, back from Istanbul and Lausanne, looking at the pictures I took (scroll down to see them).
What can I say? I know it's a shame, but they were my very first regional platforms.. before I left, I thought I would have been destroyed: two RPs and a conference in a row is not a piece of cake. Moreover they were coming immediately after a very stressful period, where we barely had the chance to lift our eyes from the screens.
But I love traveling, and I am an optimistic person ;), so I left with Kamila and we went together to our first RP: Istanbul.
And there nothing was as we were expecting it; but in the same time we were not expecting such a experience. When you are an International Board member, you work, you write emails, you (often) achive your goals, but it's very difficult to get some feedback, to see if all your action meant anything for the sections, for the ESN people.
But during the SEEP (here's some pics) and the WEP we really had the chance to talk with people, to confront ideas, to elaborate solutions, to explain why working for ESN is so amazing..
So I didn't care about the crazy flights (Istanbul-Ljubjana-Vienna-Milano) we took to save money, the sleepless mornings, the problems with the projectors..
