Last Thursday and Friday offered me the first ESN Board experience. And well I can tell you it was a good one. Actually it felt like two days long guide into everything, what ESN is doing at the moment. A real up-to-date crash-course. As you can see from the picture, we were working hard.
ESN definitely has the feel of a developing organisation. The thirst to influence more is big.
The projects like the Building Europe: Piece by Piece conference, Happy Birthday ESN and the improved communication tools are taking shape.
During these two days there was a lot of brainstorming on subjects like how ESN should look like in one year, in ten years. It will be interesting to see what comes out of those ideas after discussions at the national presidents meeting, CNR Rimini and after the National Platforms.
Probably during my stay in Brussels I will see what will come out of the Corporate Partners idea, about workplace system for the ESN members. As idea it looks great possibility to motivate members to be more active and to start more projects.
Also grant application for an EVS volunteer was submitted. So hopefully somebody will get next year the chance to do the same thing what I'm doing now :).
The first ideas about the new Survey for 2009 were exchanged. As it is planned this year few months earlier then usual, we will start with research as soon as possible. As it seems, the PRIME Survey what is still in preparation and the ESN Survey will complete each other in few ways. So developments there will be also interesting to see.
So organise the boardmeeting in octobre and you could experience all that in your hometown :).
