I just want to make a short briefing on the financial auditing this weekend in Brussels. The rest will be presented in Gdansk.

Friday, we spend most of the time looking through the financial system, and I must say that I am very pleased with it. As I don’t have a financial background, finances and financial systems can be tricky from time to time, but Erdeniz have made it really easy. The next treasurer will have few problems taking over, no matter who that person might be.

Am I completely wrong when I say that we want more volunteers in the work groups? Volunteers from different sections who want to get more involved in the international level?

During NEP, a participant from the Czech Rep. asked we where he could find some informations about the different work groups. I told him to get in contact with his NR, but how much do you guys actually know about the different tasks going on in the other groups?

In about three weeks, "we" are going to participate in the General Assembly (GA) of the European Youth Forum (YFJ), which will take place in Rotterdam. ESN will be represented by Madara Apsalone, our beloved NR of Latvia, Dominika Škotková from ESN EUBA Bratislava / Slovakia, and me (Jelena from ESN Belgrade / ESN Liaison Officer to the YFJ).

Danish National Platform can become a reality

It seems that my sections are busy behind my back:) - which I don't regret as Copenhagen and Odense has talked about making a National Platform with my own section involved - that makes it three (the minimum number of sections for a NP.

Okay they didn't call it a National Platform, but we are moving in that direction. I will go into this much more from now on. However, it won't until spring. Maybe some of you NRs would like to join in. As I said, it's not a NP as you might know them, but it will be a little step for us.

Well...I still have to recover a bit after 2 ESN weekends in a row ;) but I can absolutely confirm that SWEP '08 was a really great and enjoyable event!!!A special thanks goes then to the OC, ESN Milano Statale Staff, that perfectly organised this event in a real italian style!

The Italian National Platform took place in Milano last weekend, 17th-19th October, and it was organized by ESN Milano Bicocca (http://www.esnbicocca.org/?q=info_programma) , with the help of other ESN sections in Milano as well :)

ESN Satellite 2.3 released

The ESN Webteam with the support of Youth Agora (http://www.youthagora.org) has released a security upgrade of the ESN Satellite. Now Satellite 2.3 comes with the latest 5.11 drupal core and upgrades of the contributed modules. For the official Drupal announcement, check http://drupal.org/drupal-6.5.

As before, the ESN Satellite can be requested from http://galaxy.esn.org/downloads/create, and make sure you log in with your Identity account first.
