In about three weeks, "we" are going to participate in the General Assembly (GA) of the European Youth Forum (YFJ), which will take place in Rotterdam. ESN will be represented by Madara Apsalone, our beloved NR of Latvia, Dominika Škotková from ESN EUBA Bratislava / Slovakia, and me (Jelena from ESN Belgrade / ESN Liaison Officer to the YFJ). Among issues that are on the agenda, there are some policy papers and changes in YFJ statutes to be discussed and adopted, as well as the YFJ Work Plan for next two years. At the same time, since this is a General Assembly, which takes place once in two years, new YFJ Bureau will be elected. Apart from that, GA is going to vote on YFJ’s representatives in the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe, and ESN International Board has decided to nominate a candidate for this position – Dominika Škotková.
Let me introduce Dominika a bit. She is 22, coming from Bratislava and currently a master student of European Studies at the University of Hamburg. She holds a bachelor degree in International Relations, obtained at the University of Economics in Bratislava, where she joined ESN at teh very beginning of her studies. She has also been awarded a two-year “Go West” scholarship from Haniel Stiftung to finance her master program.
