Back to Brussels the AGM seems far away, but memories are still vivid. Good memories of amazing moments (also hot discussions :-) with amazing people. So, let's not talk about life in Brussels which is kind of back to old times. Let's not talk about drawing new concepts, working on running projects and training the new (few) Board members.
Let's live again the memory of 4 days in Besançon. Remember the plenary sessions in which a lot of presentations (sometimes good – sometimes not really catchy – sometimes improvised) was held and the workshops in which topics were discussed in details. Also remember the parade and the parties which brought people together and let new relationships (personal and professional...) grew. And I will certainly always remember one moment when my results were announced. Other than one year ago in Prague the overwhelming feeling was different. Being elected as only candidate is something different than running against two others. Knowing how it is when 400 pairs of eyes are on one-self is different than experience it the first time. The same is true for receiving standing ovations. Knowing what will wait for one-self when stepping of stage is different than from being thrown into the cold water. This is no judgment, it's just telling that the feelings and thoughts are different. Overwhelmed – great – astonishing, but different. And then there is this memory of after the elections which lasts longer than the roses received (means forever). It's just left to say thank you!!! For a great time – Motivation – Confidence – Laughter and and and – Roses :-)
See you around (Brussels, Switzerland or the world).
Matthias
