Besançon

Just before CND, I had the opportunity to spend a few days in the city of the upcoming AGM. Read here what I found out.

Besançon (don't even try to pronounce it unless you're French...) is a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains and castles. The city bursts from students and places students like. So, the fun part of the AGM is guaranteed.

But we're not only there for activites which don't need sunlight. Also the locations of the plenary session, the infomarket and the opening conference are amazing. Don't expect further details, because you'll see.

The Groll - a very special drinkWhat struck me most was the enormous motivation and dedication the OC shows. OC at workKeep up the good spirit guys! But not only them are eager to have the AGM at their city. It's the whole city/region which has been caught by the AGM fever (even a quite tipsy friend of an OC member's flatmate tried to bring up good ideas...). I always find it very positive when OCs, authorities and universities work close together. This surely brings the best outcomes.

So, let's look forward to meeting in France, ou la la :-)
