Project - finished

Dear 20 Anniversary Team

Tomorrow is THE day. The last official day of this wonderful and amazing project will soon be reality.

So, thank you. Thank you for your work, your input, your determination and your motivation to make a wonderful thing happening.

I guess, we succeeded in what we wanted. We learned and taught. We promoted Erasmus and ESN and we can be proud of ourselves because we did it in a good way. (oks, there are always little things which can be improved but let's not talk about them at this historical moment :-)

No Van, no more

Dear reader

The Van is gone.

After a crazy 4-day drive from Brussels to Mersin (South-Turkey) and a ferry crossing to Cyprus, ESN had to abandon the Erasmus Van at the custom controls.

The good news are: Everything went fine.
No accidents, no flat tyres, not too many troubles at immigration, only some roads were not in the very best condition.

the last meters of the Van

Oks, my life reporting from Bordeaux did not succeed too much, but check out the longer final report I will past some days later.

Currently, I'm spending my last night in Brussels (at least the last for the next 11 days), waiting for the morning to come when the Erasmus Van will start for its last journey. Paul and me will drive 4000 kms in 5 days (I'll spend some days afterwards in Turkey at the AEGEE Agora) to bring our baby back to its righteous owners.

The Van goes back to Cyprus

26/10/2007 - 06:00
01/11/2007 - 12:00

The Van will be driven by Paul and me and friends we meet on the road :-) to Cyprus where it eventually will come to a rest after these long days of travelling.

It served us well and we all will miss it. Van; you'll always be in our minds and hearts :-)

The Final Report

And......., there it is!!!

The Final Report of the Van tour around Europe is available. It is a wonderful coloured booklet describing the steps before, during and a bit after the Van tour. The report was edited during long hours by Sara and myself with good inputs from our ESN / Working Group friends.

So, I would like to thank all people involved in this project which now has kind of a face.

Give it a read for getting the whole impact of a successfull and great project.
You find it on www.20erasmus.eu
