Winner of the much sought after 'Best Section Of The Year' prize in 2005, ESN-ASSI Parma after having achieved such a prestigious goal, finds itself once again at the forefront of the most well respected sections of the whole ESN Network.
The football tournament which took place from June 1st until June 2nd at a strangely -given its proximity to Parma's own, eponymous river- mosquitos-free AC Milan Club, saw the participation of 7 teams: Padova, Genova, Roma 1, Roma 2, Parma 1, Parma 2, Siena. Genova, thanks to the entire team's cohesion and in no lesser
degree, mid fielders Johannes' and Connor's (a German and an Irishman who literally kicked ass like warriors and played like brothers from the very start) stunning individual performances, went on to take a much deserved victory in the final, while the 2 local teams (Parma 1 and Parma 2, respectively) after an encouraging start, fared disappointingly.
To keep it all in the now legendary Pallomeri/Erasmus tradition,on the night of June 1st, ESN-ASSI Parma celebrated the end of the Erasmus season, by organizing yet another edition of the annual open air barbecue, which culminated in a somehow eventful but appreciated beer marathon.
Judging from the above mentioned facts, it seems like ESN-ASSI Parma is riding high on the crest of the Erasmus wave....and not certainly thanks to the floods which are plaguing northern Italy these days!
