Why? Easy question:

• You will get to lead one of the biggest international student organisation in Europe, with about 12.000 members

• You will have a direct influence on decision- and policy-makers in the field of international higher education

After the PRIME Conference in Sofia on the 20th of November, we had our fall NP.

The NP proved that our young network needs to meet more often and from now on we will meet at least 3 times per year (September, January and June/July), there will be two optional NPs in November and/or April.

We finally saw the University of Econimics in Varna applying for ESN. Their whole team was present. After they submit some more papers and after we conduct a study visit, they will officially be our 3rd section and we will be able to constitute the first ESN BG National Board as well. 

The autumn Czech National Platform took place on 20th - 22nd November 2009 in Bartošovice (Orlické Hory). The NP was organized by ESN Buddy System HK. Around 60 participants from all Czech ESN sections, ESN Allumni and guests from non-ESN sections were present. 

The II BG NP was held on the 22 Sept 2009 in Sofia. Both ESN sections were present and some guests from 3 other cities joined. Two of the cities declared their will to apply for full membership.

The main points on the agenda were: the election of the new board (not a section board, not like other national boards either, but simply the board of our legally registered NGO that actually works like an NB), changes in our statutes and setting rules for the candidate sections; discussion on our future strategy and activities.

Greece has finally extended its network to 5 sections, a size big enough to have our first NP in Kalamata from the 11th to the13th of July 2009!

The German NP in June took place at Bremen at the northern part of the country. On Fridy, after enjoying a citytour with some Ahoj Powder Shots the participants enjoyed a delicious dinner in a German Brewery Restaurant. This helped then to Party(-move) the night in the Lila Eule ("violet owl")

It s been quite a hectic week, so i thought, lets give the Network a little update!

What i have been doing? Well the main point was that i went with my collegues of AGM 2009 OC to Istanbul, to meet with the OC of AGM 2010. On thursday we all (except Don who came friday, and annabel who couldnt come) arrived in istanbul! Walked down the Istiklal, to arrive at the ESN turkye house!
